Würth Elektronik WL-ICLED Dual-Wire Integrated Controller (ICs) Within RGB-LEDs feature a dual-wire protocol that works with two lines: a data line (DIN) and a clock signal line (CIN). This dual-wire design enables data transmission up to 13 times faster than with single-wire ICLEDs. The dual-wire devices also provide precise control in LED applications requiring individual color and brightness control, which simplifies the wiring complexity. The additional CIN makes it possible to flexibly adjust the transmission speed for faster and more stable communication. These WL-ICLED modules are addressable as pixels and include a red, green, and blue LED, along with a pre-programmed IC in one package. The intelligent LEDs offer 0% to 100% digital dimming, and the integrated sleep mode saves energy when the LEDs are not actively controlled.
