SiTime Low-Power & General-Purpose Oscillators
SiTime Low-Power and General-Purpose Oscillators address timing requirements across four product lines: SiT8021, SiT1602, SiT8008, and the SiT2001 series. The SiT8021 series is designed for power-sensitive, space-constrained applications such as wearables and IoT sensors, while the SiT1602 and SiT8008 are for portable consumer, networking, and industrial systems. SiT2001 oscillators extend the programmable platform to designs that prioritize board-level solder-joint reliability and optical inspection. All four of these series support factory- or field-programmability.
The SiT1602 is a fixed-frequency, low-power oscillators that support 52 standard frequencies from 3.57MHz to 77.76MHz with ±20ppm, ±25ppm, or ±50ppm stability across the -20°C to +70°C or -40°C to +85°C temperature ranges. Package options range from 2mm x 1.6mm to 7mm x 5mm and align with industry-standard footprints. Additional specifications include a 1.2µA typical standby current at 1.8V and an active current rating of 3.6mA at 1.8V. The continuous 1.8V to 3.3V supply supports inventory consolidation across various designs. The FlexEdge™ configurable drive strength controls rise and fall time, reducing EMI and supporting multi-load drives without additional timing components. Suitable applications include digital cameras, portable media players, portable navigation devices, IP cameras, portable gaming devices, and mobile phone multimedia clocking.
SiT8008 programmable oscillators cover the 1MHz to 110MHz frequencies with 6 decimal places of frequency accuracy. With the same low profile of the SiT1602 series, this series features a 1.2µA standby and 3.6mA active current at 1.8V, and the same package range from 2mm x 1.6mm to 7mm x 5mm. Stability options of ±20ppm, ±25ppm, or ±50ppm cover both commercial and industrial temperature ranges. FlexEdge drive strength reduces EMI and supports multi-load drive without additional components. Steh SiT8008 series addresses timing requirements for Ethernet, USB, SATA, SSD, servers, FPGAs, networking switches, industrial automation, smart meters, and medical devices across -20°C to +70°C and -40°C to +85°C temperature grades.
SiT2001 oscillators are SOT23 programmable and combine the SiT8008's frequency range and stability with the assembly and inspection advantages of the SOT23-5 package. The 2.9mm x 2.8mm package supports strong board-level solder-joint reliability and optical-only solder-joint inspection with X-ray. These oscillators support any frequency from 1MHz to 110MHz with 6 decimal places of accuracy, ±20ppm to ±50ppm stability, and supply options of 1.8V or 2.5V to 3.3V across the -20°C to +70°C and -40°C to +85°C temperature ranges. The FlexEdge drive reduces EMI and supports multi-load drives. Applications span Ethernet, USB, SSD, servers, FPGAs, networking switches, industrial automation, and medical device clocking, where assembly cost and inspection are key requirements.
