Renesas Electronics RAA270005KFP Power Management IC (PMIC)
Renesas Electronics RAA270005KFP Power Management IC (PMIC) is designed for the RH850/P1X series microcontroller (MCU). The general-purpose PMIC includes two types of DC-DC converters, two boost/buck low dropout linear regulators (LDO), and two linear trackers. The boost/buck DC-DCs feature a switching frequency of 420kHz and 2.1MHz, respectively. The Renesas RAA270005KFP PMIC implements monitor functions for the internal status. The ADC monitors the input voltage, the output of all regulators, and an internal analog voltage corresponding to temperature. Furthermore, the reference voltage can be monitored for testing via the ADC.
The PMIC offers sequencer circuits for controlling power up/down. Therefore any external sequencer circuits are unnecessary. Additionally, the PMIC can control an external backup power for the MCU.
