Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX33045E/MAX33046E RS-485/RS-422 Transceivers

Analog Devices Inc. MAX33045E/MAX33046E Half-Duplex RS-485/RS-422 Transceivers offer flexibility by operating at either a 3.3V or 5.0V supply rail. ADI MAX33045E/MAX33046E driver outputs and receiver inputs are protected with high-fault and high-ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection.

The A/B lines on the ADI MAX33045E/MAX33046E provide up to ±25V fault protection for accidental shorts with local power supplies and ±40kV ESD (Human Body Model) HBM protection. The devices are also rated up to ±15kV Air-Gap Discharge and ±10kV Contact Discharge per IEC 61000-4-2.

The MAX33045E/MAX33046E Transceivers are rated for a 20Mbps data rate with an operating ambient temperature from -40°C to +125°C. The device is packaged in an 8-pin SOIC and delivers enhanced protection for applications in harsh environments.
