STEVAL-IPMnM2S Motor Drive Power Board

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IPMnM2S Motor Drive Power Board is designed to provide an easy-to-use solution for driving high power motors. The STEVAL-IPMnM2S is based on the STIPNS2M50T-H SLLIMM™ (Small Low Loss Intelligent Molded Module) nano IPM (Intelligent Power Module). The STIPNS2M50T-H IPM integrates six MOSFETs and three high voltage half-bridge gate drivers. The STIPNS2M50T-H offers a wide range of features, including undervoltage lockout, smart shutdown, an internal temperature sensor and NTC, overcurrent protection, and an internal op-amp. The STEVAL-IPMnM2S Motor Drive Power Board offers nominal power up to 100W, with a 1.2A nominal current. The board features a compact size, with a minimal BOM and high efficiency. The STEVAL-IPMnM2S includes an interface circuit (BUS and VCC connectors), bootstrap capacitors, snubber capacitor, hardware short-circuit protection, fault event signal, and temperature monitoring. The motor drive board is designed to work in both single-shunt and three-shunt configurations. The STEVAL-IPMnM2S also offers three current sensing options: three dedicated on-board op-amps, op-amps embedded on MCU, or single internal IPM op-amp. The Hall/Encoder part completes the circuit. The STEVAL-IPMnM2S is designed to achieve accurate and fast conditioning of current feedback to satisfy the typical requirements for Field Oriented Control (FOC). The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IPMnM2S Motor Drive Power Board is compatible with ST Control Boards based on the STM32 MCU, providing a complete platform for motor control.
