The expansion board accommodates three user-supplied 3.7 V 18650 Li-ion batteries, enabling up to eight hours of runtime with standard 3500mAh cells, while maintaining exceptional efficiency thanks to the direct power-path design with minimal conversion losses. The board supports dual external power inputs—USB Type‑C® (PD 20V) or a 5.5 mm ×  2.5mm DC jack (12V to 24V, ≥36W)—and features an ultra‑low standby current of just ~30µA, making it ideal for long-term deployments.
