This connection is made possible through high-speed mezzanine connector (HSMC) ports. Terasic Technologies P0096 AHA-HSMC Daughter Card supports I²C configuration for Aptina sensors, a standard Aptina parallel interface, an Altera HSMC interface, and a shutter control function for Aptina sensors.

Terasic Daughter and Adapter Boards for FPGA Development Kits include various daughter cards and adapter boards designed to expand the capabilities of the FPGA development kits. These boards include options such as Aptina sensors, camera link connections, digital video recording, communication interfaces, and transmitter/receiver functions. The Terasic Daughter and Adapter Boards also come with Analog-to-Digital & Digital-to-Analog interfaces, Ethernet connection, and SATA interface conversion.
