A502 FlexiForce™ Piezoresistive Force Sensor

Tekscan A502 FlexiForce™ Piezoresistive Force Sensor is a square sensor with a sensing area measuring 50.8mm x 50.8mm (2" x 2"). A502 is available off-the-shelf for easy proof of concept and measures up to 4,448N (1,000lbs.). To measure higher forces, apply a lower drive voltage (-0.5V, -0.25V, etc.) and reduce the resistance of the feedback resistor (1kΩ minimum). For lower forces, apply a higher drive voltage and increase the resistance of the feedback resistor.
