TLV755P 500mA LDO Regulators

Texas Instruments TLV755P 500mA Low Drop Out (LDO) Regulators with foldback overcurrent protection have ideal line and load transient performance in an ultra-small package. Features include an input voltage range of 1.44V to 5.5V, low dropout of 220mV (Max.) at 500mA (3.3VOUT), and a low IQ of 25µA (typical) which enables functionality to minimise standby power. A fixed output voltage of 0.6V to 5V supports the lower core voltages of modern microcontrollers and provides minimised cost and solution size. The device offers an internal soft-start to lower inrush current offering a controlled voltage to the load and minimising the input voltage drop during start up. The device actively pulls down the output to quickly discharge the outputs and ensure a known start-up state when shut down. The TLV755P provides a typical accuracy of 1% due to the precision band-gap and error amplifier and is stable, with small ceramic output capacitors allowing for a small overall solution size. Other features include integrated thermal shutdown, current limit, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and an internal foldback current limit that helps reduce the thermal dissipation during short-circuit events.
