These MLCCs absorb the stress of board flexure due to the unique metal frames, and they can be mounted on aluminum circuit boards. TDK MEGACAP MLCCs are suitable for automotive applications and applications subjected to severe temperature changes.

TDK Flex Crack Countermeasure MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitor) products feature redundancies in design in order to avoid short circuit failures and improve the reliability of equipment. TDK offers multiple types of MLCCs for flex crack countermeasures including soft termination, MEGACAP, serial design, and open mode, each offering a different model and design to mitigate cracking caused by depaneling of PCBs, screw fastening, or shock from a vibration or drop.
