Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) are surface-mount connectors that facilitate simplicity in connecting individual wires directly to a PCB. The dual IDC contact system employs a redundant gas-tight interface to the wire that has been tested for reliability up to automotive levels of temperature, shock, and vibration. These KYOCERA AVX connectors are available in various heights, termination styles, and configurations.

9177 IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9177 IDC Connectors offer the flexibility to connect 1, 2, or 3 wires in a single row on the PCB using IDC technology. The application tool inserts the wires into the slots and cuts through the insulation to expose the inner cores, providing a strong, secure, homogenous joint with the contact. KYOCERA AVX 9177 IDC connectors accept stranded wire between 14 and 20 AWG with no preparation.

9177 Gas-Tight Dual-Contact SSL IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9177 Dual-Contact Solid State Lighting (SSL) Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDCs) are surface mount connectors that accept 20AWG to 14AWG wires with an insulation diameter ranging from 2.75mm to 4.25mm. The 9177 IDCs support a 15A current rating with two large SMT solder tails per wire to provide maximum PCB stability. With a 1p-3p configuration, the connectors are end-stackable for higher pin counts. The connectors allow simplicity in connecting individual wires directly to a PCB and have been tested to automotive levels of shock, vibration, and temperature cycling to demonstrate reliability and robustness. KYOCERA AVX 9177 Dual-Contact SSL IDC Connectors are designed for automotive and industrial applications.

9177 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9177 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) meet the harsh automotive and industrial market applications for connecting individual wires directly to a PCB ranging from 28AWG to 14AWG. This contact system has been tested to automotive levels of shock, vibration, and temperature cycling to prove their reliability and robustness. The simplicity of inserting a wire into the connector with a small tool allows a wide range of devices to be connected to the PCB without soldering. KYOCERA AVX 9177 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board IDC Connectors bring power and signal onto the PCB or daisy-chain multiple boards together in a long string. The IDC contact provides a gas-tight connection to the conductor of the wire while the housing grabs the insulation of the wire to provide strain relief in the harshest conditions.
