RADSOK® RADSERT™ Power-to-Board Connectors

Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® RADSERT™ provides the most power in a single-point connection to the PCB. The connectors provide the smallest footprint and are available in 2.4mm and 3.6mm for board thicknesses of .250"±.025". Other sizes may be custom designed to meet the designer's specific application requirements. The RADSERT allows the board designer to bring power to the board from busbars suspended above the board and all of the board components. Amphenol Industrial RADSOK RADSERT pins from the busbar plug into the RADSOK's which are installed by press-fitting the RADSOK into the RADSERT.

RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors

Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors bring more power with three high amperage products: PowerBlok™, RADSERT™, and PGY™. This RADSOK solution offers many options for high-current, single-point connections to printed circuit boards. The hyperbolic grid contact provides more surface area with many points of contact for heat dissipation at the pin and socket interface. This lowers temperature rise and reduces potential failures. The compact footprint design supplies up to 200A to the board, which preserves surface area and offers flexibility in board design. Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors are designed to be applied manually via press-fit or reflow solder process, eliminating the need for additional wires and/or special crimp tools.

RADSOK® Connectors

Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Connectors upgrade many core connectors by simply adding the RADSOK advantage. RADial SOcKet (RADSOK) is a socket cylinder within a female contact that has several equally spaced longitudinal beams twisted into a hyperbolic shape. As the male pin is inserted, axial members in the female half deflect, imparting high current flow across the connection with minimal voltage loss. The configuration ensures a large, coaxial, face-to-face surface area engagement and is ideal for crimp termination applications requiring repeated mating cycles and high current with a low millivolt drop. Amphenol connectors using RADSOK technology include Amphe-GTR Reverse Bayonet Connectors for Power Applications, PowerBus Amphe-PD™ Connectors, Amphe-Power® Connectors, board level connectors such as PowerBlok™, RADSERT™, and PGY™, SurLok Connectors, and Helios H4 Solar Connectors.
